Courtsider Sports Lighting’s SXS2 LED indoor fixture is a high output indirect solution for interior spaces with high ceilings – indoor tennis courts, field houses, and sports practice facilities. The SXS2 offers the perfect combination of low energy consumption and high light output – up to 84,000 lumens. This fixture is excellent for retrofit and new construction in place of traditional high wattage HID fixtures.
Energy Savings
Our fixture setup typically saves between 40-60% on energy costs over traditional metal halide sports lighters. You can save even more energy because of Instant On. There's no need for warming up lights or a cooling period after a power outage. Also you can utilize motion sensing with dimming control to only illuminate the courts when people are playing. Central circuit motion sensing is the best method and can save some facilities up to 90% on energy costs. Contact us to discuss options for system controls.
This is not a one for one switch with HID fixtures because of this fixture's design and output, as well as the change in configuration. Please contact us for details on your conversion or consult the light facility level details below.
Using these fixtures provides indirect lighting and is ideal for any Class I, Class II or Class III tennis facility.
Class I - 750 lux or 69.7 lumens/sq ft - Top-level national and international competitions with requirements for spectators
- 7 fixture/row setup averages 105 foot candles or 1130 lux
- 6 fixture/row setup averages 90 foot candles or 968 lux
- 5 fixture/row setup averages 75 foot candles or 807 lux
Class II - 500 lux or 46.4 lumens/sq ft - Mid-level competition, such as regional or local club tournaments. This generally involves medium-sized numbers of spectators with average viewing distances. High-level training may also be included in this class
- 4 fixture/row setup averages 60 foot candles or 645 lux
Class III - 300 lux or 27.8 lumens/sq ft - Low-level competition, such as local or small club tournaments. This does not usually involve spectators. General training, school sports and recreational activities also fall into this class. This also includes awesome residential setups.
- 3 fixture/row setup averages 45 foot candles or 484 lux

DIMMING (DIM) - Optional 0-10 volt dimming enabled, with controls by others.
EXPECTED LIFE - Minimum 60,000 to 100,000 hours depending upon the ambient temperature of the installation location.
LEDS - Features an array of closely spaced medium power LED chips; 5000K color temperature, 70 CRI or 4000K color temperature, 80 CRI.
HOUSING - Housing is die-formed steel. Designed vertical fins serve as heat sink and resist accumulation of dust and debris. Access panel provides single-screw access to driver and wiring connections.
OPTICAL UNIT - Featuring a slim 4” profile, housing is die-formed steel with a clear polycarbonate lens.
OPTICS / DISTRIBUTION - High performance distribution Symmetric (S).
MOUNTING - Mounting includes Hook Cable Hangers (HCH10).
DRIVER - State-of-the-art driver technology delivers superior energy efficiency and optimum light output. LSI driver components are fully encased in potting for IP65 moisture resistance. Complies with IEC and FCC standards. Optional 0-10V dimming driver available, with controls by others.
ELECTRICAL - Universal voltage power supply, 120-277 VAC, 50/60 HZ input. LSI drivers feature two-stage surge protection (including separate surge protection built into electronic driver) meets IEEE C62.41.2-2002, Scenario 1, Location Category C, 10KV.
OPERATING TEMPERATURE - -40°C to 35°C (-40°F to +95°F) FINISH - Fixtures are finished with LSI’s DuraGrip® polyester powder coat finishing process. DuraGrip withstands extreme weather changes without cracking or peeling. Standard color is white.
