Nora NHIC-17/100DWQA 6" IC Air-Tight Double Wall Line Voltage Housing
IC Recessed housings are high quality, light weight units ideal for use in insulated ceilings. Air-tight construction reduces energy costs by reducing the amount of air escaping through the ceiling. Rated for direct contact with insulation (except spay foam insulation) and combustive materials, IC housings are easy and quick to install and accept a wide variety of high quality, attractive finishing trims.
Minimum Clearances: “IC” Housings are direct contact rated; no minimum clearance is required
Socket Plate: Socket plate adjusts inside housing and can be removed in the field to convert to a floating socket
Bar Hangers: Bar hangers are adjustable from 13-5/8″ to 24-1/2″ and can be repositioned 90 degrees. Bar hangers are slotted for T-bar installation and include captive nails.
Maximum Wattage: 100W (actual wattage varies with trim)
New construction double wall housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. The housing is labeled for use with Nora 6" line voltage trims and compatible with all LED retrofits.
